H1N1 information for students, faculty and Staff

 

How to report an absence from class or work:

November 20, 2009

ISU Student Health Services to provide H1N1 flu vaccinations, December 1, 2, and 3 from 5-6 p.m.

Student Health Services will provide H1N1 flu shots to Illinois State University students only at special clinics on Tues., Wed., and Thurs., December 1, 2, and 3, from 5-6 p.m.

Location: Student Health Services Preventive Medicine Clinic #2, Student Services Building (2nd floor). Students may call for an appointment at 309.438.APPT (2778) beginning Monday morning, November 30. No Web portal appointments will be accepted. The $5 front door fee will apply.

To receive flu shots, students must be in the following categories:

  • between 18 and 24 years old;
  • students under 18 may receive vaccine with parent/guardian consent;
  • students between ages 25 and 64 may get a shot IF they have health conditions associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza;
  • pregnant; or
  • have regular contact with or are a caregiver for children younger than 6 months of age.

Students should also monitor the McLean County Health Department's Web site in the event of changes in eligibility.
